Material is non-toxic, but has a strong odor when heated.

This is plastic material.

Does not need to be refrigerated and it will not melt. 

Hot Pot Method: Heat plastisol to 350 degrees F, and continually stir. Plastisol will initially go through a taffy-like gel state. When product reaches temperature and cures, it will return to a cured clear liquid state. Pour from spigot before product cools. Remove from mold when product completely cools.
